Anime North 2017 – Convention Review

Anime North was special this year. It transfixed us and left us excited enough to return next year. In the past, I encountered rude volunteers, sweltered in hot weather, and hung around the wrong people. This year, I learned something new. I learned that convention staff do listen to feedback. Problems that you’ve encountered in the past can be fixed. I learned that who you hang out with at a convention can change your entire experience for better or worse. It’s nice to have someone around you when you’re attending an event with thousands of people.  At an event, this big, being alone sucks. If you do go alone, attend events to meet people who like the same things as you. Be around positive people. If you’re around negative people, it will suck the life out of you. That’s why you need a supporting friend or group of people at…

Bunner’s Bakery – Fresh Vegan & Gluten Free Baked Goods

It has been more than a year since I’ve gone to Bunner’s Bakery in Spring 2016. I’ve been meaning to write a review on this quaint vegan and gluten-free bakery, but my blogging procrastination has held me back. In short, Bunner’s Bakery is an easy 7/10. Yummy and sweet. Make sure to come as soon as they open, since they have fewer items available towards the end of the day. Bunner’s Bakery Location and Best Time to Eat Bunner’s Bakery lives in the heart of Kensington Market in Downtown, Toronto. As soon as you enter the shop, you’re greeted with a cute sign showcasing their newest treat ready to meet the mouths of loyal and new customers. Chalkboard Menu at Bunner’s Bakery While you wait in line you can view a chalkboard menu and easily see the prices of baked goods. Isn’t this wall cute? Totally, Instagram-worthy. What’s in Store…

Cosmic Treats – Eat Vegan Junk Food in Toronto

Honestly, my friend and I hesitantly stumbled into Cosmic Treats. There are so many vegan options at Kensington Market. We decided to enter the store, sit down and take a look at the menu. When we did, our mouths dropped and watered. I give Cosmic Treats an 8/10. They were friendly, the food was delicious and I felt totally junk food satisfied. If you’re non-vegan or vegan, you must try Cosmic Treats out! They have almost every junk food you can imagine, including vegan ice cream and drinks. Food Review We tried their deep-fried macaroni and “cheese” balls. We ate their “cheese” sticks. My friend tried the “meat” pot pie. I ordered fries because you can’t mess up fries. All of it was delicious. But my friend did not like the “meat” pot pie as much as the other stuff.
